چکیده

With the emergence of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as central to construction design, planning, execution and maintenance, integration into entire infrastructure sustainability process is imperative for achieving sustainable development. Despite its immense benefit aiding compliance construction, potential barriers continue widen gap in implementation. Therefore, this study adopts “interpretive structural modelling approach” advance a ranked structure interrelatedness integrating BIM buildings assessment. The “Matrice d’Impacts croises-multipication applique classement analysis (MICMAC)” was utilised categorise identified adoption model. relationship with themselves are valuable discussing challenges BIM-based LCA developing policies design decisions drive further. Further, it adds emerging discussion from life cycle assessment perspective infrastructure. findings critical policy, stakeholders extending body knowledge.

Analysis of interactions among the barriers to JIT production: interpretive structural modelling approach

‘Survival of the fittest’ is the reality in modern global competition. Organizations around the globe are adopting or willing to embrace just-in-time (JIT) production to reinforce the competitiveness. Even though JIT is the most powerful inventory management methodologies it is not free from barriers. Barriers derail the implementation of JIT production system. One of the most significant tasks...

BIM-Based Life-Cycle Management for Reinforced Concrete Buildings

This paper introduces the concept of a BIM-based life-cycle management system for reinforced concrete buildings. The system allows one to compute a prognosis of the building’s condition taking into account the material properties of individual components, the environmental load as well as measurement data from current inspections. This prognosis then forms foundations for scheduled maintenance ...

Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) approach: An Overview

Interpretive structural modelling (ISM) is a well-established methodology for identifying relationships among specific items, which define a problem or an issue. This approach has been increasingly used by various researchers to represent the interrelationships among various elements related to the issue. ISM approach starts with an identification of variables, which are relevant to the problem...

Life Cycle Assessment for Buildings

The work presents the results of some case studies oriented toward the investigation of the potential of Life Cycle Assessment evaluations in the area of environmental impacts related to the life cycle of buildings. In particular, the aspects connected with the performance behavior of building components (and of the entire building organisms) are dealt, in relation to users’ needs which are cha...
